Neurological disorders are increasing significantly worldwide. Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS)—a common neurological disorder—is quite prevalent among individuals (its frequence in the general population is estimated to be between 1% and 5%). The syndrome is more common in females with a female-to-male ratio of about three to one. The disease is caused by pressure on the median nerve and requires special tools for treatment, such as carpal tunnel release systems. The development and manufacturing of these tools is one of the major factors anticipated to drive growth of the market in the coming years. Data from Kenneth Research shows the global carpal tunnel release systems market generated $608.6 million in revenue last year and is expected to reach $1.049 billion by the end of 2031, growing 5.7% annually.
